In January 2005 I completed my 2-years shipping education with
WRIST Shipping in Aalborg. Throughout my education I have been part of the daily routines in
WRIST Shipping and given my own area of responsibility from the very first day.
The responsibility has been the incentive during my education as it is great to know that you make a difference and is an important part of the company right from the start.
During the 2 years of education I have completed 9-10 weeks courses at Aarhus Business College. Actually, the theoretic part formed a qualified supplement to the practical knowledge you quickly acquire in WRIST Shipping
Besides, it is great meet other young people with the same interests as oneself and I actually got new friends and not the least contacts in other companies.
During my education I have been in three different departments. My first year was in the Agency Department where I primarily visited the ships to meet their demands - in short the link to a successful call.
Hereafter I was 8 months in the Forwarding Department forwarding goods to shis all over the world.
I spend the last 2 months of my education in the Tanker Chartering Department and here I am now employed as a Shipping Assistant - primarily forwarding oil all over the world.
I has been great working in many different departments giving you a wide knowledge of WRIST Shipping and the shipping business as a whole.
As Trainee in WRIST Shipping you are very privileged with opportunities of a career after completing your education - not only in Denmark but also abroad. During my time in WRIST Shipping I have been part of a strong team in a good working environment with a pleasant tone.
By arranging team building activities WRIST Shipping has contributed to friendship between the employees.
