I have always had a wish to work in an international dynamic environment. This wish became a reality when I joined Wrist Group’s ambitious trainee program in August 2006.
My 2-year trainee period began with O.W. Bunker at our headquarters in Aalborg in the World Wide Trading department, selling oil and providing service to various ship owners all over the world.
I joined a young, strong and very dynamic team where I from day one was given responsibility servicing customers, and steadily my responsibilities have grown as my development has continued. As trainee you are given the opportunity to work independently, making your training much more interesting and challenging. You work in an international environment and will be given the chance to participate in various events and trips abroad.
O.W. Bunker is one of the world’s largest bunker suppliers with offices around the world, which provides you with the opportunity to develop your personal skills by going abroad. I was fortunate to go to Hong Kong for my 4th semester for my rotation period, where I spent 6 months at our local office. This was a great challenge, not only work wise, but also at a personal level, trying to adapt and understand a very different culture compared to the Scandinavian culture.
At O.W. Bunker no days are alike; however our day is always characterized by a high level of activity in an enjoyable and stimulating environment. The trainee program at O.W. Bunker is ambitious, challenging, very demanding and will give you the opportunity to work in one of the most important and fast changing industries in the world.
